Requirements

Associate's degree from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license/certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care

Nice To Haves

Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred

Responsibilities

Assist the Occupational Therapist with resident evaluations and treatment plans
Help residents improve strength, mobility, coordination, and daily living skills
Teach residents how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices
Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team
Document treatments, progress, and outcomes accurately
Provide encouragement and support to residents and their families
