About The Position
Indigo Manor Nursing and Rehab is seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to help residents achieve greater independence and well-being. The OTA works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. The role includes supporting residents with daily living activities, delivering occupational therapy interventions, evaluating and documenting progress, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate care records. The facility provides skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Requirements
- No prior experience is required.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution.
- Current OTA certification or licensure in Florida.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet resident needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including dressing, grooming, and personal care, to promote independence and self-esteem.
- Conduct occupational therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and strategies, to improve cognitive, physical, and emotional functions.
- Evaluate and document resident progress, using data to inform treatment plans and adjust interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including therapists, physicians, and nurses, to support comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and treatment plans.
