About The Position
Brightstar Care is seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to service Home Health clients in San Antonio and surrounding areas, specifically on the Northeastern side of San Antonio. As a privately owned agency licensed by the State of Texas, Brightstar Care prides itself on its commitment to excellence in providing high acuity care right in the comfort of our clients' homes. This role involves assisting in the implementation of treatment plans, instructing patients and families, monitoring progress, maintaining records, and preparing treatment areas.
Requirements
- Current state licensure or certification as Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA)
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by Occupational Therapist.
- Instruct patients and families in home programs, basic living skills, and care and use of adaptive equipment.
- Monitor patients' progress and report to the Occupational Therapist.
- Maintain patient records and documentation according to regulatory standards.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment.
- Contribute to patient care planning.
