Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current OTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Current BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience preferred.
- Inpatient hospital experience preferred, but motivated candidates with a strong desire to learn and grow are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with individualized treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions designed to improve patients' functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.
- Monitor patient responses and progress and communicate observations with the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients in developing and improving skills needed for daily activities and functional independence.
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Educate and encourage patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow established clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
- Remain flexible and responsive to the needs of the hospital and patients.
