Occupational Therapy Assistant - Home Health
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for PRN visits in the Tampa area. This role offers flexibility without sacrificing meaningful patient care, allowing you to work one-on-one with patients in their homes on a schedule that fits your availability. You will provide in-home therapy under the supervision of a Registered OT, following individualized treatment plans and physician orders to help patients improve daily living skills, mobility, and independence. The role also involves educating patients and caregivers on exercises and home safety, monitoring progress, communicating updates to the clinical team, and completing timely, accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Active Florida COTA license
- Graduate of an accredited OTA program (ACOTE)
- NBCOT certification (or eligible)
- Minimum 1 year of home health experience
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- AHCA Level II Background Screening
Responsibilities
