About The Position

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) | Rumford, ME | $32–$40/Hour Full-Time | School-Based | 2026–2027 School Year Help Students Build Skills, Confidence, and Independence At Boothby Therapy Services, our mission is simple but meaningful: Help Children Succeed. We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support students in Rumford, Maine. You will help children strengthen the practical, sensory, motor, and functional skills they need to participate more confidently and independently throughout the school day. Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current Maine OTA license or eligibility to obtain one
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
The ability to connect with students and adapt to their individual learning needs
A genuine passion for helping children participate, grow, and thrive

Responsibilities

Deliver occupational therapy interventions based on established plans of care
Help students strengthen fine-motor, visual-motor, sensory-processing, self-regulation, and daily living skills
Integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines and school activities
Adapt activities and interventions to meet each student's individual needs
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary school teams
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Create encouraging, student-centered sessions that build confidence and independence
