You’ll provide home-based therapy as directed by the attending physician and follow treatment plans and goals established by the Occupational Therapist. Requirements

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) with a current license in the state of employment
Minimum of one year of experience as an OTA in an acute care setting (required)
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance (must be listed driver)
Ability to meet all physical demands of the role

Home care experience preferred

Responsibilities

Plan of Care Provide skilled occupational therapy as ordered by the attending physician
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the Occupational Therapist
Minimize Patient Risk Assess functional limitations and provide appropriate interventions
Work collaboratively with the Occupational Therapist to improve patient outcomes
Family Educator / Advocate Educate patients and families on conditions and therapy plans
Instruct on proper use of assistive equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, braces, etc.)
Policies & Documentation Complete all clinical documentation per agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines
Rules & Regulations Follow all agency policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Communicate schedule or availability changes to appropriate staff
Operations Attend in-service trainings and mandatory agency meetings
