About The Position
Concept Rehab is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join their rehabilitation team in Alma, MI. This PRN position offers a flexible schedule and focuses on providing high-quality rehabilitation services in post-acute care settings. The OTA will work with patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or hospitalization, assisting them in regaining independence and improving their quality of life.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Michigan Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in post-acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients in improving activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, strength, coordination, and independence.
- Document patient progress accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and physicians to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and safety strategies.
