As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well and bring their power back. You are a healer and a helper, adept at addressing the whole patient and seeing them as an individual, executing programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence. You are adaptable to patient needs, find joy in varied work settings, and are a collaborative teammate, making referrals to ensure patients thrive. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards
  • Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
  • Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice

Responsibilities

  • Implement occupational therapy programs and activities
  • Follow developed recovery plans
  • Deliver therapy treatments
  • Execute a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence
  • Ensure patients and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere
