About The Position

HTS is searching for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join their team at a continuing care retirement community located near East Grand Rapids and Eastown neighborhood in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The OTA will treat patients on an as needed, PRN basis, primarily for vacations and other planned time off. This role is designed to provide flexibility and support to the team during periods when regular staff members are unavailable. The arrangement allows for a dynamic work schedule where individuals can choose to accept shifts based on their availability, making it an ideal opportunity for those seeking supplementary work or a more flexible employment option.

Requirements

Active Michigan Occupational Therapy Assistant license or qualifications to earn Michigan license.
Completion of a nationally accredited program.
Passing of national licensure exam.
Degree from an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy assisting program.
Passing of the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT®) examination.
Fulfilling the state’s requirements for licensure.

Responsibilities

Treat patients on an as needed, PRN basis.
Provide coverage primarily for vacations and other planned time off.
Ensure operations continue to run smoothly and efficiently by stepping in as needed.
Accept shifts based on availability.
