About The Position

FeldCare Connects, an app-based therapy network, is seeking a self-motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide quality home healthcare to patients of all ages in the Citrus Heights area. This is an Independent Contractor position. FeldCare Connects connects partner agencies with top therapists and utilizes innovative software for efficient patient care, aiming for superior patient outcomes through dedicated, passionate, and experienced therapists.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Ability and enthusiasm in working with all ages.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment.
• Ensure the treatment plan is followed based on the OT's assessment and evaluation.
• Perform interventions to improve and enhance patient well-being.
• Evaluate patient progress.
• Provide services as defined by state laws governing COTA practice, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with the healthcare team.
• Assist patients in using therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve functioning and safety.
• Observe, record, and report patient response to treatment and changes in condition.
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and the healthcare team in areas of therapy where they can assist the patient.
