The purpose of this position is to assist in providing appropriate aspects of quality patient care under the supervision of licensed therapists. This role involves implementing and executing established patient treatment plans, communicating with patients, families, physicians, and team members, and providing timely written documentation. The position also requires developing clinical and professional skills, supporting department operations, and reporting changes in patient status. Specific COTA responsibilities include preparing and submitting patient charges, meeting productivity standards, ensuring safety, achieving quality patient care through interdisciplinary communication, attending meetings and in-services, coordinating treatment goals, maintaining valid licensure, and staying aware of patient and community needs.
