About The Position

Powerback Rehab to You is a mobile outpatient therapy service offering full-time COTA opportunities in Marlborough and Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. They serve patients in Assisted Living Facilities (ALF), Independent Living Facilities (ILF), and the community. Powerback Rehab's mission is to improve lives by helping older adults stay active and thrive through personalized physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapies. With over four decades of experience, they provide care in various settings including skilled nursing centers, assisted and independent living facilities, outpatient clinics, and home-based care. Requirements

  • Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license eligibility.
  • Must have a valid driver's license or reliable, independent transportation to and from the patients' residence.

Responsibilities

  • Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other required meetings as a representative of occupational therapy, under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
  • Responsible for adherence to department and patient treatment schedule, timely clinical and billing documentation requirements as well as work related meetings.
  • Works with other members of the rehabilitation team to develop programs and activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient.
  • Instructs patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the occupational therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
  • Maintains appropriate and timely documentation for all patients treated.
  • Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment, as necessary.
  • Puts Patient Service First: Ensures that patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.
  • Implements a patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Occupational Therapist.
  • Provides individualized occupational therapy interventions including application of therapeutic techniques in such areas as, but not limited to: cognitive skills, muscle strength, coordination, endurance, mobility, perceptual abilities, sensory awareness, sitting and standing tolerance, balance, activities of daily living, joint protection, work simplification, orientation, physical agent modalities, low vision, falls risk management, medication management, health and wellness, community integration and reintegration.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
