About The Position
Concept Rehab, a therapist-owned company providing high-quality rehabilitation services in post-acute care settings, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join their rehabilitation team in Alma, MI. The OTA will work with patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or hospitalization, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. This is a PRN position with a flexible schedule.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Michigan Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in post-acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients in improving activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, strength, coordination, and independence.
- Document patient progress accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and physicians to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and safety strategies.
