About The Position

Blue Stone Therapy is launching a brand-new outpatient therapy program at Peaceful Pines of Mitchell in Mitchell, SD, and is building its therapy team from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a growing outpatient program while delivering individualized, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment. The role involves delivering occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, assisting patients in improving independence with daily living skills and functional activities, monitoring patient response to treatment and communicating progress with the supervising Occupational Therapist, educating patients on exercises, adaptive equipment, and home programs, completing accurate documentation, and supporting a positive patient experience while helping grow a new outpatient program.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license (or eligibility for licensure) in South Dakota
Strong patient engagement and communication skills
Team-oriented approach to care
Positive, flexible attitude
Passion for helping patients achieve independence
Desire to contribute to a growing outpatient practice

Responsibilities

Deliver occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
Assist patients in improving independence with daily living skills and functional activities
