About The Position
Innovate Rehab and Wellness is seeking a Licensed PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Kansas City, MO. This PRN position offers a flexible, as-needed schedule with a focus on one-on-one patient care and opportunities for professional development. We are a therapist- and veteran-owned company with over 25 years of experience providing patient-centered care in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree from an accredited OTA program
- Current NBCOT certification
- Valid state license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Committed to patient-centered care and rehab excellence
Nice To Haves
- SNF or long-term care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans created by the Occupational Therapist
- Provide direct patient care per state and facility guidelines
- Monitor and document resident progress; report changes to the OT
- Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment
- Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, and other healthcare staff
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
- Participate in care planning and discharge planning
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and all regulations
