About The Position

Concordia Visiting Nurses is seeking a passionate and empathetic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their growing team. This role involves serving patients in Monroeville and surrounding areas, providing high-quality skilled nursing, palliative care, and therapy services. Concordia Visiting Nurses is a Medicare-certified, state-licensed, Medicaid-approved home health agency with a mission to serve the aging community with quality care in a Christian environment, prioritizing patient needs and fostering a positive, empowering atmosphere for both patients and staff.

Requirements

Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant curriculum approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Certified as an occupational therapy assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Reliable, independent means of transportation to make home visits.
Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and drive a car with insurance limits as established in personnel policies.

Responsibilities

Makes home visits to patients in accordance with the physician’s plan of care.
Implements the therapy program established by the OTR/L providing services to prevent disability, relieve pain, restoring function and independence to achieve the patient’s full potential following disease or injury.
Assists in teaching patients and in planning discharge from occupational therapy services.
