About The Position

Human Touch Home Health is looking for a compassionate and dependable Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) for PRN home health opportunities throughout Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, and nearby communities. Patient opportunities may be available in Fredericksburg, Stafford, Falmouth, Spotsylvania, Massaponax, Spotsylvania Courthouse, Garrisonville, Aquia Harbour, and surrounding areas. Requirements

Active Virginia Occupational Therapy Assistant License Required
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to work independently during home visits while following the OT's established plan of care

Home Health Experience Preferred, but Not Required

Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy treatments in patients' homes
Follow established plans of care
Help patients improve independence with activities of daily living
Provide therapeutic activities to improve strength, coordination, mobility, and functional ability
Assist with dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and other everyday activities
Reinforce safe use of adaptive equipment and home modifications
Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve safety and independence
Monitor progress and communicate changes to the supervising OT
Coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team
Complete accurate and timely documentation using WellSky
