About The Position

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a per diem COTA with at least 1 year of hand therapy experience to support our outpatient clinic in Brandon, FL. You will treat upper extremity conditions including tendon injuries, sprains, and post-op fractures, working alongside experienced hand therapists and orthopedic surgeons. We offer a collaborative team environment, access to fully equipped clinics, and support from a growing national hand therapy program. This role is per diem, scheduled as needed, Monday–Friday, with pay starting at $25/hr, based on experience.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program.
National registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIRED.
Must have previous 1 year experience working with hand therapy patients.
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.
Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components.
Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services.
Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals.
Ensure proper documentation of patient care.
Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies.
