This position is primarily in In-patient Rehab, with crossover in Acute Care as needed. The Occupational Therapist, in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, provides therapeutic services including evaluation, treatment, and education. They monitor the treatment activities of COTA’s and aides, complete evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with established standards of care and practice, and plan and provide treatment to assigned patients as appropriate. The role also involves completing all documentation of services per department standards, attending required safety training programs, and following hospital exposure control plans/bloodborne and airborne pathogens. The therapist demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees, promoting an effective and professional environment. They also promote effective working relations and work effectively as part of a department/unit team, and maintain an updated license, submitting evidence of status to supervisor/manager within two weeks of receipt of new or updated license.
