About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great full-time Occupational Therapist opportunity near Burke, Virginia! This is a float position between Silas Burke, Sunrise at Silas Burke (Assisted Living and Memory Care), Sunrise of Braddock Glen (Assisted Living Community), and Woodleigh Chase (a brand new Independent Living Community with a dedicated rehab space). The role involves empowering residents to regain independence and improve quality of life, creating personalized treatment plans, and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team. The position supports daily activities, adaptive techniques, and cognitive rehab, requiring compassion, creativity, and clinical expertise.

Requirements

Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in Virginia
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Nice To Haves

Experience in geriatrics or long-term care is a plus
Strong communication, compassion, and a can-do spirit

Responsibilities

Patient Assessment: Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
Treatment and Education: Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients' goals and enhance their functional abilities. Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocacy and Support: Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
