About The Position

Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich, Massachusetts, is hiring per diem Occupational Therapists for a general rehabilitation caseload. The role includes assessing patients and residents, developing care plans, providing direct treatment and consultation, and participating in the clinical team process. The position offers weekly pay of up to $55 an hour. The facility follows federal and state staff-vaccination guidelines and requires staff to be up to date with COVID and flu vaccinations or acknowledge a declination. Requirements

Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.
Meet continuing education requirements for state licensure.
Hold an Occupational Therapist license in Massachusetts.
At least one year of Occupational Therapy experience.

Responsibilities

Screen patients and residents.
Evaluate patients and residents and develop appropriate care plans.
Perform additional assigned administrative duties, which may include assigning and overseeing resident care activities, overseeing medical records, ensuring physician orders are executed, and ordering supplies.
Provide direct resident treatments under a physician’s order and according to an established plan of care, in individual, supervised, or group settings.
Contribute to team meetings and decision-making as defined by the program.
Consult with and train patients, residents, and caregivers.
Monitor efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with the supervisor.
Document activities promptly using the company’s clinical documentation system.
Demonstrate knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
Communicate effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers, and the supervisor.
Provide appropriate consultation to the facility.
