About The Position

Help patients live their lives to the fullest at the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking an Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Behavioral Health to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with behavioral health needs in both the Emergency Department and the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at University Hospital. You will develop, implement and facilitate therapeutic group sessions, and develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs. Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team and collaborate with UW Health departments to optimize care coordination and patient outcomes. Partner with UW Health wellness staff to support long-term health and wellness strategies that extend beyond occupational therapy services. Contribute to a large, dynamic rehabilitation team committed to delivering exceptional, patient- and family-centered care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy Required
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Wisconsin Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months Required

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years prior relevant experience Preferred
