The Occupational Therapist will work in the Inpatient setting at the Burnet Campus. This is a 1.0 FTE position with a schedule of Monday-Friday, including rotating Saturday/Sunday coverage. The role involves performing assessments, treatment planning, and implementing treatments based on a strong understanding of normal development and patient/family psycho-social needs. The therapist will utilize evidence-based interventions, modify treatment plans as needed, and facilitate carry-over of progress through comprehensive home programs. Effective communication with the healthcare team, patients, caregivers, and families is essential. The position requires adherence to ethical and legal standards for OT practice, meeting customer expectations, and taking initiative for required competencies. Responsibilities also include mentoring, orienting, and training co-workers, serving as a primary clinical instructor for students, completing indirect patient care activities, and actively participating in departmental projects and leadership.
