About The Position

Graham Medical Center is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist with experience in treating hands to join their experienced team in a multidisciplinary outpatient setting. This role offers a 1:1 patient care opportunity. Christian Hospital has been serving St. Louis and surrounding metro areas since 1903 and is recognized for its clinical excellence. Northwest HealthCare, located nearby, provides emergency care, a Sleep Disorders Center, and various outpatient diagnostic and imaging services. The department is staffed by occupational therapists and an occupational therapy assistant, providing outpatient occupational therapy evaluation and treatments for patients with physical impairments affecting their work or leisure activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2-5 years of experience
• No supervisor experience required
• Board Certification in Area of Expertise
• Certification/License in Area of Expertise

Nice To Haves

• Certified Hand Therapist
• Master's Degree

Responsibilities

• Establishes treatment plan and provides treatment, considering discharge needs; expected discharge functional status; and appropriate equipment and supplies.
• Educates, collaborates with, and conferences with patients, families, and other health care providers; making recommendations for referrals to specialists as needed.
• Delegates to assistants, techs, and students through written and verbal communication including determining the skill level or competency required to provide interventions to best meet the needs of the patient.
• Provides assessment, consultations and/or treatment services based on clinical practice guidelines and department policies.
• Assists in planning, developing and managing processes and special projects to support staff development, care delivery and innovation.
