Occupational Therapist Inpatient
About The Position
The Occupational Therapist works in the inpatient department at Ascension Alexian Brothers Rehabilitation Hospital in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The role develops, implements, and regularly reassesses individualized, patient-centered plans of care in collaboration with patients and families. It delivers evidence-based interventions for complex neurological, oncological, orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and medically complex conditions. The therapist collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, optimize outcomes, and support safe, effective discharge planning, using innovative rehabilitation technologies and best practices to maximize functional recovery and independence. The schedule is day shift, PRN, with a minimum weekend and holiday requirement.
Requirements
- Obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
- Hold an Occupational Therapy license credentialed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation before hire or job transfer. A valid license-pending letter is accepted until the license is issued.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Nice To Haves
- Master's or doctorate degree preferred.
- Prior inpatient experience.
