About The Position

Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our growing outpatient team. This role is ideal for a clinician who values functional, patient-centered care and enjoys working collaboratively in a dynamic outpatient environment. You will evaluate and treat a diverse caseload, develop individualized treatment plans, and play a key role in driving excellent clinical outcomes. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
  • Current or pending state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in VA.
  • Upper extremity and hand treating experience required.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional patient care and achieving outstanding outcomes.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Nice To Haves

  • CHT highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with hand and upper extremity injuries, assessing physical limitations, pain levels, range of motion, strength, and functional abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient’s condition, needs, and goals.
  • Implement interventions such as therapeutic exercises, modalities, splinting, and manual therapy to promote healing and improve function.
  • Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, exercises, adaptive techniques, and home programs to support continued recovery.
  • Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, hand specialists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and track progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, progress, and outcomes in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide follow-up care to ensure recovery goals are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with current research, techniques, and best practices in hand therapy and occupational therapy.
