About The Position

Come join our team and make a difference in the lives of those in our community! Genesee Health System (GHS) is looking for energetic and caring people to join our dynamic clinical team. Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, performs professional duties including therapeutic assessments, treatment plan development, therapy implementation, and evaluation of data to determine progress towards goals and to adjust the plan as needed. Functions as supervising discipline for assigned cases; performs related work as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registered by the State of Michigan as an Occupational Therapist.
• Some documented experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and pediatric populations.
• Must be able and willing to provide occupational therapy services as outlined in the Michigan Medicaid Manual.
• Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and some irregular hours.
• Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and the use of a vehicle during work hours.
• Ability to physically perform the tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Strong clinical foundation in assessing and treating feeding disorders/difficulties, sensory processing, self-regulation, and/or experience working with individuals who may engage in challenging behavior.
• Experience functioning as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
