Occupational Therapist
About The Position
Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring full-time and per diem Occupational Therapists to join its care team in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The role provides assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation for a general rehabilitation caseload, and participates in the clinical team process. The Occupational Therapist also teaches and trains caregiver staff and supervises other therapists, assistants, aides, and students as required. The position offers weekly pay of up to $50 per hour, depending on standard hours and experience. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, complete continuing education units as required by state licensure, and maintain the applicable state license. Staff must be up to date with COVID and flu vaccinations or acknowledge a declination, in accordance with facility policy.

Responsibilities
- Screen patients and residents, evaluate their needs, and develop appropriate care plans.
- Provide direct patient treatment in accordance with established plans of care.
- Participate in clinical team meetings and decision-making processes.
- Consult with and train patients, residents, and caregivers.
- Document activities and patient progress using the company clinical documentation system.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, residents, team members, and customers.
- Teach and train caregiver staff.
- Supervise other therapists, assistants, aides, and students as required.
