About The Position

This role provides home-based, direct therapy intervention and consultative services to patients. Patient population may comprise children ages birth to three through Indiana's Early Intervention Program, First Steps. Provides services in collaboration with the family's natural environment via evidence-based treatments that address activities of daily living, sensory processing, feeding, and fine motor development in accordance with the established Individualized Family Services Plan. Identifies and assesses skills that impact the patient’s functional ability. Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals. Requirements

  • Requires a Master's Degree from an accredited academic program in occupational therapy; or, if foreign trained, graduation from an occupational therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
  • Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires current licensure in the state of Indiana.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • May require credentialling for certification as an early interventionist.

Nice To Haves

  • Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.
  • Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
