About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students with disabilities in achieving success within the school environment. In this role, you will evaluate students' needs, develop individualized therapy plans, and provide interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, handwriting, independence, and classroom participation. You will collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to develop and implement IEP goals, recommend adaptive strategies and equipment, and help create accessible learning environments that support student success. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed OT who is passionate about helping students reach their full potential through a collaborative, student-centered approach.

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients' goals and enhance their functional abilities.
Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
