This is a professional position involving the responsibility of evaluating, planning and providing occupational therapy treatment to patients in accordance with written prescription from a qualified provider. In the case of Direct Access, the occupational therapist will evaluate, plan and provide treatment within the guidelines set forth regarding Direct Access. The occupational therapist is responsible to the Director of Rehabilitation for the operation of the department. Supervision may be exercised over the work of a COTA, Physical Therapy Aides and clerical employees assigned to the service. The Occupational Therapist does related work as necessary or required.
