About The Position

Nightingale Home Healthcare is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to serve the Pembroke Pines area. For over 26 years, Nightingale has been dedicated to putting patients first by providing compassionate, around-the-clock in-home care that helps individuals maintain independence and dignity. This role involves evaluating and treating patients to improve their ability to perform daily living and work activities, designing and implementing individualized therapy plans to help patients regain independence in their home environment, and coordinating care with the broader rehabilitation team.

Requirements

Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in FL
Minimum of 1 year of OT experience preferred
Experience with OASIS and WellSky (Kinnser) strongly preferred
Current physical (within the last 12 months)
Current TB test (within last 12 months) and CPR certification
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to attend a 2–3 day orientation at our Coral Springs office

Nice To Haves

1 year of OT experience

Responsibilities

Provide effective patient care using approved therapy techniques and procedures
Evaluate patients’ condition, function level, and treatment goals
Develop individualized treatment plans and update as needed
Supervise COTAs and HHAs per care plan requirements
Document treatment notes and progress in the patient’s chart daily
Assist patients and families with home exercise programs and adaptive equipment needs
Recommend and evaluate adaptive equipment for the home setting
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies
Coordinate total patient care with the healthcare team
Complete discharge summaries and obtain orders when needed
Submit patient documentation and visit records in a timely manner
