About The Position
Cadia Healthcare - Pike Creek is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join its skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. The Occupational Therapist administers patient screenings and comprehensive evaluations, develops skilled plans of care to restore, adapt, compensate for, or maintain impairments and disabilities, and promotes patients’ functional mobility, abilities, and quality of life.
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
- Current and up-to-date CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Administer screenings and comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Complete required documentation and forms accurately and efficiently in accordance with laws and facility regulations, including physician orders, evaluations, and care plans.
- Administer standardized tests and measures for each evaluation and periodically thereafter, at least monthly and upon planned discharge, to support regulatory and documentation compliance.
- Adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and services for patients with dementia, including activities addressing attention, concentration, direction following, sequencing, memory, and complex activities of daily living.
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and services for patients with visual and perceptual disturbances that interfere with daily function.
- Test and measure patients’ pain, strength, range of motion, motor abilities, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency; record findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
