Hiring Occupational Therapist in NKC, MO with $2600 Weekly Gross
About The Position
Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking OT Home Health professionals for multiple 13-week travel/contract positions in NKC, MO. We accept both local and traveling candidates. This full-time, contract, temporary position offers a 13-week contract length with a guaranteed 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, with shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role involves providing skilled occupational therapy, developing and adjusting care plans, evaluating patient functioning, and counseling patients and families. The therapist will also instruct on medical equipment use, supervise COTAs, and complete all clinical documentation according to agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines. Territories to cover include mostly Jackson County, some Clay County, Platte, and Ray County.
Requirements
- Current OT experience: 1- 2 years - Required
- Homecare Homebase Charting experience - Required
- Current State License as Occupational Therapist or Compact if applicable - Required
- BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required
Nice To Haves
- Home health OT experience - at least 12 months within the past 3 years - Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy as ordered by the attending physician.
- Observe, record, and report patient reactions, changes, and progress to the attending physician and appropriate agency staff.
- Develop an individualized OT plan of care and adjust as needed.
- Evaluate the patient's level of functioning using diagnostic and prognostic procedures.
- Use activities and home exercise programs to improve range of motion, muscle strength, and coordination.
- Counsel patients and families on disease/injury management and preventative measures.
- Instruct patients and family members on the proper use of medical equipment.
- Oversee and supervise the total care of patients provided by COTA.
- Complete all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.
- Attend in-service training and mandatory agency meetings.
