The Occupational Therapist is responsible for examining and treating children with physical impairments and/or difficulties through the use of physical modalities, self-care and neurological needs. The goal is to assist the caregiver and child improve mobility and function to increase independent movement and other skills necessary for functioning in daily routines. This position is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services in the areas of Occupational Therapy. Services are provided in the child’s natural environment settings in which children typically spend time, for example, home or childcare. Services include screenings, evaluations, intervention, and parent education.
