About The Position

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide home health services in patients’ homes throughout Wakefield, Massachusetts. The clinician provides individualized occupational therapy to improve patients’ functional abilities, address everyday challenges, and support greater independence. This per diem role offers flexible scheduling, with compensation of up to $160 per visit, mileage reimbursement, and clinical and administrative support. VRNS also highlights ongoing training and professional development and its ABI Waiver Program, which helps promote consistent scheduling while preserving per diem clinicians’ flexibility and independence.

Requirements

Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapist license.
At least one year of clinical experience.
Afternoon availability.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide skilled interventions to improve strength, coordination, and functional performance.
Address activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
Assess home safety and recommend adaptive equipment and modifications.
Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic strategies and home exercise programs.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
