About The Position

Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Dignity Health, is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist (OT). This role is crucial in providing superior patient care to individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injuries. The hospital offers customized, individualized rehabilitation programs to patients throughout their recovery journey.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required
• State Licensure for Occupational Therapy
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills required.
• Familiarity with rehab documentation systems preferred.
• IRF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance patients’ daily living skills.
• Document treatment sessions and patient progress accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and families on care planning.
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
