About The Position
PruittHealth - Walterboro is hiring a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence, improve daily living skills, and maximize their quality of life. PruittHealth provides post-acute care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and therapy services, with a focus on patient outcomes and a supportive environment for professionals. This PRN position is located in Walterboro, South Carolina. The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients’ ability to perform activities of daily living, develops treatment plans, recommends adaptive equipment and environmental modifications, addresses limitations affecting daily function, documents progress, collaborates with healthcare teams, and educates patients and caregivers.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by the applicable credentialing organization.
Nice To Haves
- NBCOT certification preferred.
- Experience in rehabilitation, SNF, home health, or post-acute care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Develop treatment plans that enhance independence and functional performance.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Address cognitive, physical, and sensory limitations impacting daily function.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes.
