Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Licensed in the State of Ohio.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Demonstrates dependability by being consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with HIPAA and OSHA regulatory requirements.
  • Administer treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
  • Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
  • Ensure that any changes in patient status are documented accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Participate in operational aspects of the department, maintain performance improvement activities within the department and participate in all Quality Assurance activities.
  • Coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to support staff (COTA, Rehab Techs).
  • Provide input in formulating budget, assist in evaluating department performance versus budget controls and take appropriate action to remain in budget guidelines.
  • Participate in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
