About The Position

Occupational Therapist (OT) Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin Position Type: Full Time Wage: $38-$42/Hour Are you a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) looking to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life? What You’ll Do As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing therapy plans that support patient independence and overall well-being.

Requirements

  • Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the State of Wisconsin
  • Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Eligible for or successful completion of the NBCOT certification examination
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Valid driver’s license with a reliable, insured vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred
  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Performing comprehensive assessments of patients’ functional abilities and home environments
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and therapy goals
  • Providing occupational therapy services as ordered by the physician and outlined in the plan of care
  • Educating patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and adaptive techniques
  • Teaching or retraining patients in daily living skills affected by illness, injury, or disability
  • Recommending and training patients in the use of adaptive equipment, splints, prosthetics, and orthotics as appropriate
  • Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Communicating and collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other care team members
  • Supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in accordance with regulations and company policy
  • Identifying and coordinating referrals for additional home health services as needed
  • Participating in case conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary care planning
  • Assisting with discharge planning to ensure continued patient success and safety
