About The Position

Advance Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their team at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in an Acute Care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for orthopedics and a thirst for continued knowledge and growth. This role involves conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering direct patient care using evidence-based interventions. The therapist will be responsible for accurate and comprehensive documentation, developing written plans of care with measurable goals, and implementing individualized treatment programs to enhance patients' functional independence and quality of life. Effective communication with patients, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team is crucial for coordinating care and optimizing outcomes. The position also requires timely completion of all documentation, including progress notes, treatment summaries, discharge plans, and incident reports.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited college with an AOTA curriculum
  • Current state of Georgia OT license, CPR certification
  • Exercise, sports rehab, and manual-based skills
  • Outgoing and energetic personality

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and goals within the scope of occupational therapy practice.
  • Deliver direct patient care using evidence-based interventions and established occupational therapy protocols, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes and patient safety.
  • Document assessment findings, treatment progress, and instructions provided to patients and their caregivers accurately and comprehensively in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop written plans of care and establish measurable goals based on the initial evaluation findings, collaborating closely with patients and their interdisciplinary care team to ensure a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
  • Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment programs, incorporating therapeutic activities, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications to enhance patients' functional independence and quality of life.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members, including physicians and insurance providers, to coordinate care, address concerns, and optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation, including progress notes, treatment summaries, discharge plans, and incident reports, to support continuity of care and facilitate reimbursement for services rendered.
