About The Position

Metro Therapy, Inc., a Powerback Pediatrics company, provides occupational therapy services to children in school settings throughout Long Island and New York City’s five boroughs. The Occupational Therapist evaluates and assesses children, tracks their progress, delivers services as mandated by each child’s IEP, collaborates with families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals, and completes documentation and progress notes. Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
• Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy services to children in the school setting.
• Perform evaluations and assessments and track child progress.
• Deliver Occupational Therapy services as mandated in the IEP.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to support each child’s goals.
• Complete documentation and progress notes.
