Occupational Therapist / OT - Yonkers, NY
About The Position
Flagstar Rehab is seeking Occupational Therapists (OTs) for their Rehab Department in state-of-the-art Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) throughout NYC and Surrounding Areas. OTs will work with a diverse and multi-disciplinary team to perform evaluations, treatments, and patient/family education to improve the physicality and cognition of their patients and positively impact their ability to function in their daily lives. Flagstar Rehab offers the opportunity for Direct Employment (W-2) or Independent Contractor (1099) roles. They can also assist with setting up a corporation free-of-charge.
Requirements
- Current NYS OT License and Registration
- EMR Competence
- State Required Medical Documentations for work in a Skilled Nursing Facility (Physical, TB Test, MMRV Vaccine Record or Titers, Covid Vaccine Documentation)
- Valid Proof of Identity and Work Authorization
- Malpractice/Liability Insurance (if applicable)
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient evaluations and create individualized treatment plans for COTAs to follow.
- Supervise COTAs daily.
- Provide quality therapy services to individuals in an SNF setting, who require care related to TBI, CVA, Stroke, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, orthopedic surgery, and other debilitating diagnosis.
- Monitor and document patient progress with the use of innovative EMR software.
