About The Position

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, a 198-bed non-profit facility, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their team. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program and Internship or rotation in appropriate clinical setting, upon hire
Occupational Therapist: AZ, upon hire
American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Nice To Haves

Masters Other, upon hire
Doctorate Of Science in appropriate clinical area, upon hire
2 years progressive experience in clinical area, performing patient clinical care
Acute care/hospital or acute rehab/IRF experience

Responsibilities

Assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.)
Develop treatment plans
Conduct evaluations/re-evaluations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Document thoroughly
Provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients
Meets or exceeds the productivity standard on an individual basis.
Meets or exceeds the productivity standard at the department level.
Completes documentation of treatment minutes and enters electronic charges accurately and timely.
Participates in continuing education and develops advanced skills that enhance and align with department, clinical and business development.
Participates on internal/external task force, committee or board appropriate to diagnostic program per manager approval.
Completes general and specialty competencies appropriate to clinical area for patient care management (General, ICU, FIM, DBS, Lung Transplant, Behavior management, MBS, FEES, etc).
