About The Position

The Occupational Therapist is an integral member of our dynamic rehabilitation team, responsible for the administration of appropriate treatment techniques and modalities for pediatric (re)habilitation of children aged birth to 21 years. Our Occupational therapists work closely with the interdisciplinary team to assure carryover of all treatment plans/goals as indicated. This position provides a qualified individual the unique opportunity to work in our 120-bed long-term care pediatric facility and provide school based services in our local community as well as in our on-site Bancroft school program.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• NJ Licensure
• Current BLS and CPR certifications (only AHA or ARC are accepted; certification must include cognitive and skills training)
• Pediatric experience in both medical and educational settings
• Strong organizational / time management skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well as a team member

Nice To Haves

• MA/MS/MOT preferred
• NDTA, CHT, AOTA, SI training/certification preferred
• NJ Board of Education Certification or eligibility as School Occupational Therapist
