About The Position

The Occupational Therapist will have a great deal of flexibility in applying individual professional judgment, discretion, and skill in patient management and program development. The Occupational Therapist will review physician’s referrals for Occupational Therapy services and utilize information obtained from patient's records relative to their medical history, social emotional disorders, and prognosis in order to select appropriate evaluation procedures for identifying patient's functional abilities/disabilities. You may be requested to travel between the two offices situated in Quincy, CA, and Greenville, CA. You will be employed in our inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing facility departments. You may be requested to provide assistance across any of these departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited education institution.
  • Current California Occupational Therapist License.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification, approved by the AHA.
  • Two to three (2-3) years’ experience in an acute care hospital, rehabilitation center and outpatient setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Compassionate and attentive to detail.
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices.
  • Ability to solve problems independently.
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking.
  • Ability to manage patients with different personalities.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence at a professional level.
  • Ability to use a computer and software proficiently.
  • Drive to continually learn new treatment techniques.
  • Completion of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)-accredited residency program.

Responsibilities

  • Review physician’s referrals for Occupational Therapy services.
