About The Position
CVHCare is seeking Occupational Therapists (OT) to join their team. This role involves focusing on specific daily activities and movements, training patients or caregivers in self-grooming, dressing, toileting, and bathing. Advanced activities such as cooking, housekeeping, laundry, and shopping are also part of the training. The role also emphasizes community re-integration and introducing patients to leisure activities for a holistic approach to health and wellness. This is not a remote position.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year Occupational Therapy experience desired
- Open to entry level or candidates with no prior home health experience
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license
- Reliable Transportation
- CPR/BLS Certification
Responsibilities
- Train patients or caregivers in activities such as self-grooming, dressing, toileting and bathing.
- Train patients or caregivers in advanced activities such as cooking, housekeeping, laundry and shopping.
- Focus on community re-integration.
- Introduce patients to leisure-type activities that provide a holistic approach to treating health and wellness.
