About The Position

Progress West Hospital has an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to be part of our multidisciplinary team. This role offers one-on-one patient care and a flexible schedule. The Therapy Departments provide inpatient services including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology. This department, along with all departments within the hospital, supports the guiding principles of the hospital in providing care that is customized and reflects the patient's needs, values, and choices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT)
• Occupational Therapist Lic

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT)
• Weekend/holiday rotation - 2 weekends every 6 weeks is required.
• Preferred for someone to do shifts during the week

Responsibilities

• Establishes treatment plan and provides treatment, considering discharge needs; expected discharge functional status; and appropriate equipment and supplies.
• Educates, collaborates with, and conferences with patients, families, and other health care providers; making recommendations for referrals to specialists as needed.
• Delegates to assistants, techs, and students through written and verbal communication including determining the skill level or competency required to provide interventions to best meet the needs of the patient.
• Completes documentation in accordance with departmental policies.
• Provides assessment, reassessment, and/or consultations for Occupational Therapy Services.
