About The Position
Reporting to a Manager/Rehabilitation Coordinator, the Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment and treatment of clients. Staff Therapists have the knowledge to assess and treat clients but may require some professional guidance/mentoring from peers and senior therapists. All therapists are responsible for the supervision of students. Requirements
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
- Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) membership
- Communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships
- Commitment to quality, safety, and improvement striving towards zero harm
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development
- Demonstrated understanding of case management in the service delivery approach
- Ability to conduct assessments/prioritize client needs/develop treatment plans
- Demonstrated knowledge in educational resource development
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists
- Ability to travel when required
